C2 · FOR VENUE OWNERS

Host a machine, keep the floor space working.

EdinCard supplies, installs, insures, stocks and services the unit. You provide a square metre and a socket, and take a share of every vend. There's no stock to buy, no float to manage and no staff time to give up.

THE PITCH

A footfall draw that pays for its own corner.

A Pokémon machine isn't a snack machine. People come in specifically to use it, they bring friends, they open packs at the table, and they come back when new stock lands. For the right venue that's incremental footfall you weren't getting, attached to a revenue line you don't have to work for.

It's a particularly good fit if you already sell something people sit down with — coffee, pints, table time, tournaments — because the pack gets opened on your premises, not in the street.

  • Zero capital outlay and zero stock risk for the venue
  • A share of every vend, paid on a fixed schedule
  • We install, insure, restock, service and repair
  • Roughly the footprint of a small arcade cabinet
  • Standard 13A socket, no plumbing, no special install
  • Rolling agreement — you can ask us to remove it

Good fits

Game and hobby shops, comic and collectible stores, board game cafés, arcades and barcades, student unions and campus venues, indoor markets, and cafés with genuine dwell time.

Probably not a fit

Sites with no dwell time or no daytime footfall, venues without a securable indoor position, or anywhere the unit couldn't be reached for servicing during normal opening hours.

What it costs you

Nothing up front, and no ongoing fee. The commercial terms are a revenue share on vends, agreed in writing before anything is delivered.

HOW IT GOES

From first email to first vend.

No long procurement process. For most venues this is a conversation, a site visit and an install date.

  1. You get in touch

Use the form below or email us. Tell us what the venue is, roughly what footfall looks like and where a machine might go.

  2. Site visit

We come and look. Position, power, access for servicing, and an honest read on whether your customers will actually use it — including telling you if they won't.

  3. Terms in writing

Revenue share, service schedule, notice period and who's responsible for what, all agreed on paper before a machine leaves our hands.

  4. Install and go live

We deliver, site, power up, stock and test it, and add your venue to our locations page so people know it's there.

What we handle

Machine supply and install, public liability and machine insurance, all stock and stock funding, card payment processing, restocking on a fixed schedule, mechanical servicing and repairs, and customer support for anyone who has a problem with a vend.

What we need from you

An indoor position of roughly one square metre, a standard 13A socket within reach, access during your opening hours for servicing, and a nod to staff that the machine is ours to fix, not theirs.

ENQUIRE

Tell us about your venue.

Everything here goes straight to info@edincardvending.com. We read every enquiry and reply to all of them, including the ones we have to say no to.

If you'd rather just email us directly, that works exactly as well.

Not a venue owner?

If you're suggesting somewhere you don't run, use the general contact form instead and tell us why it'd work — we do chase up suggestions.

VENUE QUESTIONS

The things venues ask first.

What does it cost us to host one?

Nothing up front and nothing ongoing. EdinCard funds the machine, the stock and the servicing. You take an agreed share of the revenue from every vend on your site, paid on a fixed schedule.

How big is the machine and what does it need?

Roughly the footprint of a small arcade cabinet — about a square metre of floor with clear access to the front. It needs a standard 13A socket within reach and an indoor position that can be secured overnight the same way the rest of your stock is.

Do our staff have to do anything?

No. They don't handle stock, cash, refunds or repairs. The only ask is that they let a customer with a problem know to email us, and let us in to service the unit during opening hours.

Who's liable if it breaks or someone's hurt?

The machine is our equipment, insured by us, and we carry public liability cover for it. Specific responsibilities are set out in the hosting agreement before install, so nobody's guessing after the fact.

How often is it restocked?

On a fixed schedule agreed with you at install, plus extra visits when a site is selling faster than expected. Every visit includes a refill, a slot-by-slot stock check and a mechanical test vend.

Can we get rid of it if it isn't working out?

Yes. The agreement is rolling with a short notice period on both sides. If the machine isn't earning its corner, we'd rather move it somewhere it will than argue with you about it.

We're outside Edinburgh — will you still come?

Edinburgh and the immediate surrounds are where we can service properly right now, and servicing is the whole business. Get in touch anyway: we're expanding, and knowing where the demand is decides where we go next.

Still deciding?

Have a look at what actually goes in the machine, and how the customer experience works, before you commit floor space to it.
